Mercury goes backwards – it’s that time again…

Mercury goes backwards this week, which tends to encourage a boo-hiss reaction from many people. Yes, it is frustrating to experience misunderstandings, miscommunication, travel delays and mishaps, failed technology, missing letters and parcels, etc.

But Mercury’s rewind always offers a time for review and planning. In the detail-oriented and meticulous sign of Virgo, something important to you can benefit from both during the coming weeks.

AUGUST 23 2023 – MERCURY GOES RETROGRADE

Until September 15, the planet of thinking, communicating, emails, texts, deliveries and commerce appears to move backwards. It does this three or four times every year for about three weeks.

It will do so for a final time this year on December 15, but that’s another story. (Warning: Mercury retrograde at Christmas will pose a load of problems, so get your shopping done or anything sent way before December 15!)

This time, Mercury moves backwards in Virgo. So, Virgos will be most affected. However, much will depend on whatever area Virgo represents in your horoscope chart.

Mercury is Virgo’s ruling planet, and Virgo rules all aspects of your daily life, including your job, health and routines. So, you may encounter delays, missed deadlines at work and communication issues. Health problems may also resurface, particularly those you thought had been resolved.
