For the third and last time this year, Mercury gives the impression of moving backward.

This time, the planet of thought, all forms of communication, travel, contracts, and commerce, goes retrograde in Libra. Libra is the sign of relationships. So, until October 18, you’re likely to take stock of your one-to-one relationships – romantic, business-related, family-related, or friendships.

Yes, when Mercury goes retrograde, the usual frustrations might occur. Letters and parcels go missing, emails go astray, travel is disrupted, and technology fails us. (Make a point of backing up computer data!) But thankfully, any issues are well in advance of Christmas.

But you have a chance to assess your relationships, the direction they’re heading, how suitable each is for you, or both.

By the way, someone from your past could reassess their relationship with you. It’s not uncommon for a past lover or partner to re-emerge at this time, too.
