While as you move into the New Year, things are steady and locked into position on both sides of the financial fence, this belies the changes that took place in the closing weeks of 2025.

After six years, Uranus had left and ended all planetary activity on the income front in July, only to retrograde back in four months later, right in the heart of the most active months of the year on the other side of the financial fence, the side where it is more about what you do with and how you manage the money you have.

This saw both sides of the financial fence compete for your attention, right up to the moment Mercury left your financial sector in December. While you move into the New Year with no planetary activity in your financial sector, and there will be none until later in the year, there is a chance to begin 2026 with a smart head for money and read on money matters.

Meanwhile, this has left the path clear for the income side of the financial fence, where, having retrograded back for six months, Uranus is in pursuit of the past, second chances and untapped income potential, while working to leave you with a clear sense of where the money is and of your priorities.

Uranus will not turn direct until 5th February, which is when the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected will start getting ready to leave again on 26th April, this time not returning for another eight decades. Before that can happen, Venus, the planet of money, will return from 31st March to 24th April, with a chance to work with Uranus to make these some of the most potentially lucrative weeks of the year.

During this time, with the laws of attraction and synchronicity both in effect, these really could be some of the most lucrative weeks of the year. By the end of April, both will be gone, but with the Sun returning from 20th April to 21st May, Mercury from 3rd May to 17th May and Mars from 19th May to 29th June, there will be plenty of time to exploit all available income potential.

Meanwhile, it is in the second half of the year that the focus will shift to the other side of the financial fence, starting with Venus’ return from 10th September to 25th October.

Because Venus will retrograde back out, she will return for a do over from 4th December 2026 to 7th January 2027 and, with the Sun and Mercury moving through while she is gone, there is a chance to first update your financial desires, hopes and aspirations and then return to help turn them into reality.
