On both the romantic and relationship fronts, while the year begins with a heavy focus on both and there will continue to be more active points in the year when the faster planets move through, the years of continuous planetary activity on both fronts are coming to a close, a process that began last year.
It was at the end of March 2025 that Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams, left your romantic sector after being there since 2012, only to return in October. Saturn, who had been here since March 2023, left at the end of May, only to retrograde back in just over four months later. While they were gone, Uranus, who had been in your relationship sector since 2019, left in July, only to retrograde back four months later.
As you move into 2026, all three are back. While Uranus will not turn direct until 4th February and will not leave again until 26th April, Neptune and Saturn are in direct motion and getting ready to leave, and this is where the urgency lies as you move into the New Year. Neptune will leave on 27th January and will not return again for another 150 years.
When it comes to matters of the heart and all things romantic, moving into 2026 is about holding onto a dream, with Saturn staying on until 14th February to give you the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.
Saturn will leave on Valentine’s Day, but not before Venus, the planet of love, returns on 10th February to begin what she will be working to make some of the most romantically charged weeks of 2026. By then, Mars, making his first visit in two years, will be here and will have until he leaves on 10th April to fire up your romantic passions and fighting spirit.
This is the point when, for the first time in 16 years, apart from the Moon’s monthly visits, your romantic sector will be empty for the rest of the year. Just 16 days later, Uranus will leave your relationship sector on 26th April, not to return again for another eight decades, with this overlapping the final weeks of planetary activity on the romantic front.
This final phase begins when Venus returns to your relationship sector from 31st March to 24th April to work her magic. The Sun will move through from 20th April to 21st May, followed by Mercury, the planet of communication, from 3rd May to 17th May. Once again, Mars will be the last planet to move through, with the warrior planet of the cosmos working to give you something to fight for as he moves through from 19th May to 29th June.
