Matters of the heart were always going to get your attention from the get go, while your relationships were always going to have to wait their turn. This is due to the fact that with no major planets in your relationship sector, you need to wait for the faster moving planets to return each year.
On the romantic front, however, apart from a six month break from May to November 2018, you have had Uranus in your romantic sector since 2010. This means no matter what, from the get go there was going to be romantic energy in play this year. However, what is not expected is the level of romantic activity that is set to literally explode onto the scene in the early hours of the year.
You begin the year with Uranus still in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, so this should be a slow start to the year for matters of the heart. With Venus, the planet of love in Sagittarius from 8th January to 4th February, it is hard to imagine a more romantically charged start to the year.
However, everything changes in the early hours of the year, due to Mars’ return to your romantic sector on New Year’s Day. Mars literally explodes onto the scene, returning to the area of your chart he rules and where he knows exactly how to fuel your romantic passions and fighting spirit.
With Mars here until 15th February and Uranus leaving on 6th March, not to return for another eight decades, the love gods are hauling out their big guns from the get go. Things may quieten down after Mars and Uranus leave, only to fire up again with the Sun’s return on 21st March. This will shine the solar spotlight on matters of the heart and all that Mars and Uranus have already created.
With Mercury returning on 17th April and Venus on 21st April, they will be there to keep the romantic flame burning. The planet that will really capitalise on the passionate start the year gets off to is Venus, with the planet of love’s time here from 21st April to 15th May, some of the most romantically charged weeks of the year.
Your relationships will get their turn and will get a boost from having Mars make his first visit since 2017. Mars will return to your relationship sector on 31st March, just 10 days after the Sun’s return to your romantic sector and while matters of the heart are catching their second wind.
This is something that your relationships will benefit from. With Mars here from 31st March to 16th May, he’ll have been and gone by the time the Sun returns on 21st May.
Yet it means that as the solar spotlight shifts onto your relationships, Mars will have already just spent six weeks firing up your passions and fighting spirit. The Sun will leave on 22nd June, but with Venus not returning until 9th June, she will keep the focus on your relationships until leaving on 4th July.
