It appears to be business as usual in your two professional houses this year but on each front there is a surprise that turns this into a stunning professional year. To start with there is nothing to suggest that this won’t be your typical professional year and by that I mean the planetary activity that takes place on the job front in January and February and again on the career front in May and June. This is when the faster moving planets move through and in the absence of any long term planetary activity on either front, these are the pockets of activity you get. While the Sun won’t return to your work sector until 21st January, as he does every year, you begin the year with Venus already here. While this is an advantage and allows you to begin the year with your heart in the game, a chance to update your wish list and begin the year feeling motivated. This is part of the annual pattern. So too is Mercury’s visit from 17th January to 4th February, with a chance to get your head in the game.
The Sun’s departure on 19th February should and does bring all planetary activity on the job front to a close, temporarily at least. As if changing his mind, Mercury will retrograde back in for a second visit from 5th March to 16th March and while he is only back for 11 days this is a chance to return to the drawing board, just days before major and game changing developments. It begins with Saturn’s return on 22nd March, returning to your work sector for the first time in three decades and Mars’ return just days later on 31st March. While Mars returns every two years, it has been three decades since he last met up with Saturn here, adding to the massive weight this will put behind work and job matters. Mars will leave on 13th May and Saturn will retrograde back out on 2nd July, however this is not the main event but preparation for the main event.
The main event is Saturn’s return on 17th December and Jupiter’s on 20th December, to begin some of the most powerful years on the job front in decades. Not to be outdone, it is just days after Saturn and Mars return to your work sector that Venus decides that career matters need a slice of the pie as well. While the Sun won’t return to your career sector until 21st May, as he does at this time every year, Venus will return on 4th April. This is too early and this far ahead Venus will be forced to wait and instead of moving through in just 24 days, she will stay here until 8th August. This is just as Saturn and Mars are firing things up on the job front in a way not seen in decades. With Venus in retrograde motion from 13th May to 25th June and Saturn from 11th May until retrograding back out on 2nd July, the doors will be open to the past, second chances and untapped job and professional potential at the same time.
