This financial year is deceptive in that it appears to be an ordinary year as far as both income and money matters go, with the only advantage being that you begin the year with Venus in your financial sector. It has been business as usual in your two money houses for several years now and what that means is that without any long term planetary activity, it is just the faster moving planets influencing things. It also means that there have been large portions of the year were there has been no planetary activity on either the income or financial fronts and in fact, they have spent more time empty than active. While starting the year with Venus in your financial sector is an advantage, this is part of that pattern, with the Sun always turning the solar spotlight on your financial situation and money matters in January. The fact that you begin the year with Venus here means you are able to start the year with your financial confidence fueled and with a financial wish list rather than a list of financial resolutions.

Venus will only spend the first two weeks of January here so will be gone by the time the Sun turns the solar spotlight onto your financial situation and money matters on 21st January, as he does at this time each year. With Mercury here from 17th January to 4th February, by the time the Sun leaves on 19th February the spotlight will shift off money matters. It is then that things will go quiet financially, not to pick up again until things become active but on the other side of the financial fence, with the Sun’s return to your income sector on 22nd July. However, my very first words were ‘this financial year is deceptive’ because while the normal pattern will still play out, there are major developments on the financial front over and above this.

It is just a few days later that Mars, warrior planet of the cosmos will return for the first time in two years, returning from 31st March to 13th May to fuel your financial passions and fighting spirit. With Saturn giving you the power to move mountains if you have to, together this is a major opportunity to start taking your financial power back. While Saturn and Mars will only be together for six weeks, these will be the most empowering weeks of this financial year. Saturn will retrograde back out on 2nd July but will not only return on 17th December but will bring lucky Jupiter with him, returning three days later on 20th December.
